Helmet Resources

Post by Rosien_HoH »

I have browsed through the forums and hear varying different things. I've heard a lot about FP but apparently they are no longer functioning? I've also been told Ebay is a bad idea.

I was really hoping to get the FP version because I hear it has a lot of extra room. This is ideal for me because I have a larger than average head. Plus I'd like to eventually add things like fans and a speaker system.

Where would you suggest I look for a good Royal Guard helmet? :tr2:

I find mine from TPE (in Australia) to be fantastic. I've got plenty of room in it (although I don't have a huge head, but can't get into a Don Post). They are potentially a little expensive however, though I can send you a PM with more details if you'd like.

FP still operates, however you will need to email them with a request (not sure of size sorry).

Edit: P.S. you might want to edit out the makers name above. We try not to post the names, only as a precaution. We would hate for anyone to have to shut up shop because they were mentioned :)

I would appreciate any resources I can get. I'd like to spend as little as possible while still getting a quality product though. (wouldn't we all XP)

As for the edit, I have done it. I can understand wanting to keep such things private.

PM sent

like I said though those are just info on the helmet I have, and for FP. I'm sure the detachment leadership will be able to give you information on another product, that might be bigger than TPE or FP, and may even come in a little cheaper!

Not sure if you'd be able to find a helmet larger than a FP. I took have a larger than normal noggin and the FP bucket was perfect for me...I've got 3 fans in it and I can wear a microphone if I want but I realized that's silly because even if I could be heard when I talk, I can't listen to any responses :)

Hi.
I'm sorry for using this thread, too. I'm also looking for some resources. My head is not that big. So that wouldn't be a problem.
I would prefer a good kit. Can somebody help me, please?
During my search I found this: http://www.starfortressproductions.com/ ... uards.html. Is that an option? Is it ok to post that link?

While we can't tell you what to get and what not to get, a quick search on the site will tell you all you need to know about Star Fortress stuff and why to avoid it. It's looking like Rubies actually has a good helmet for sale that can be approvable with very minor work.

Sorry, I read so many things and I was actually searching but obviously with wrong key words... . But I'm still interested in kit resources.

As was pointed out, avoid Star Fortress at all costs. A quick Google search will show anyone the reasons for this.

Got it! Was a quick search leading to it. I regret that I've even asked... .Won't buy it.

Has somebody any suggestion for a helmet kit, please?
