Exact shade of red?

I have two swatches of red velveteen for my outer robes and I'm not sure which one to go with. One is a more candy-apple red, the other is a little bit deeper, more crimson red. Which is preferred?

They're a little more vivid and bright IRL, but this is pretty close to their actual colors. Also, pardon the lint. They were packaged with some white corduroy!

Do you have a helmet already? If so color match to that.
