First, what material should shin straps be ? Leather, elastic, nylon, cotton ? Or does it really matter.
Second, are visible side straps between chest & backplates allowed ?
And third, besides fabric shoulder straps, should there be hard "armor" shoulder straps above them too ?
Like the ones that Tk's have. I remember reading about them here but cannot find the post now.
Thanks,
Osku

I believe most people use an elastic to help keep the shins in place

I'd like to hear some input from our other shadow guards on this one as it's never really been brought up before

Yes, there is a smooth TK like hard shoulder strap that must be present over and above the elastic straps.
Thanks,

Re: Shadow Guard straps
1. For my straps, I use nylon straps wrapped in pleather material locked with heavy duty snaps
2. I like my chest & back plate secured and hidden, so I use nylon straps w/ parachute buckles, 2 for each side and a matching material to my suit sewn to both straps.
3. For the shoulders, I use nylon straps w/ velcro sewn in, then covered by the armor straps.
Hope its of some help... GL!

Re: Shadow Guard straps
With black straps, you wouldn't be able to notice them either way. It's like with some pilots and gunners wearing black armor over black. You can't really see the straps and some don't even bother using side straps since you can't tell.
