I always think about a cool case but never thought about a cue case. I just look around the web, there are pretty cool cases which aren´t such expensive.

Huh, this never occurred to me before, but I like it. I'll have to look into getting one for my wife's pike.

As with 99.9% of the FP robes, you'll need to hem them for length as they shouldn't be dragging on the ground. You'll probably also want to consider repainting the helmet to have a better colour match to the fabric of the outer cloak.

You are absolutely right, I not only want to hem up the outer robe, but also makes a few minor alterations to improve the shape and overall look. The helmet had to be sanded back and repainted anyway because of the bubble wrap damage to the paint, so I don't have a problem doing that at all.stripes wrote:As with 99.9% of the FP robes, you'll need to hem them for length as they shouldn't be dragging on the ground. I've love to see how close the boots are to the robes (not that it's 100% necessary, more of a curiosity thing). Everything that Stripes said I'd echo and I'm glad you're on board with those changes. Best of luck with your second child!

I got stuck working on my helmet as it is just too deformed and I will not use it, so I'll have to get another. Anyone know where I can get one that is complete to match the color of fp robes? If so PM me please.
In the meantime though, the forcepike trooping bags I ordered have arrived. Basically, they are 90cm long fishing rod bags. I got one for myself and one for Ash. They have two 90cm long zipped sections and one 50cm zipped pocket on the outside. Here is the one I did for Ash as I don't have a 501st ID number yet.

Bummer about your helmet
When I purchased mine I'm pretty sure I was an absolute wreck stressing over whether it would come damaged, or not fit, or anything like that. I got mine off of ebay (wouldn't recommend it, even though I got lucky and it passed). I know FP makes them, but there's another company that just started making them more... <redacted by admin> I don't know if they do international shipping stuff yet, but they do great work for helmets. They sell them for $150 for the kits (unpainted), or $300 for finished. Oh, and those force pike bags look awesome!!! If only mine came apart...
haha Someday I'll get a better one

This is something that everyone has to deal with. Unfortunately with the nature of fabric, each dye lot will vary slightly in colour. Your best bet is to find a helmet that works for you first, then find a paint that matches your robes. You'll have to sand and paint the helmet yourself, but it's the only way to get a true colour match. Barring this... you could always see if a local automotive paint shop would match the colour of your robes and paint the helmet for you... just be forewarned that this can get extremely expensive.Gruff wrote:I got stuck working on my helmet as it is just too deformed and I will not use it, so I'll have to get another.
