I think the number of wraps depends upon the rope you're using and the size of the wearer. Putting 3-5 wraps around someone 5'1" is going to look very different than someone 6'4".• A burgundy rope-belt that wraps around the sash a minimum of two times and ties out of view.

As for the lining, seeing the fabric from a different angle has helped. The first photos just looked like it was a shiny material (which is not permited as per CRL standards).
