Okay, so here is where I am having some issues.
The definition states the front should overlap the back. However where would the seam end up? We are using this as reference...
This shows the ultimate goal, granted they will be in black. I know these were mock up drawings for the CRL's according to the Forcepike Forums.

and this
This picture shows an AOTC RG, but notice the shoulder bunch up of material? I am trying to avoid that.

Below are a few more pictures that I am using as reference. Still confused though.
This was suggested as a reference for the pattern on the AOTC RG section on Forcepike.

This seems to be closer to an actual pattern, but the angles make no sense. Theoretically the robe should be circular. No hard angles.

Finally this shows a great shot of the overlap, but am confused where the seam would hide? Would the front piece of fabric taper to hide the seam under the helmet? If so how would you achieve that with the more narrow shoulder sides of the SG helmet?

Any help or suggestion would be great. I have a great seamstress of a wife, but need to know where the seams overlap. Also is it possible to do the back piece with the sides as one piece, so as to limit seams? I know there use to be a pattern that showed the robe as a giant circle. I know that is either V or VI style, but think it would be a starting point. I also know some are using a McCalls pattern, but with heavy mods. Would rather find something closer to the actual pattern.
Thanks
