I am starting a ROTJ guard and I have at least one major problem. I wear a size 16 (US). I can not find jack boots or red velvet boots in my size. I have attached a pic of boots that I found in my size and am curious if they would pass. I have also attached a pic of gloves are they acceptable?
For some reason I can not attach the pics so here are some link

Re: Boots and gloves questions
Not much detail on the boots so I will say that is a good to go. RotJ actually is Burgundy suede fabric. Leather gloves are a ROTS guard.

Re: Boots and gloves questions
I agree with LT on the boots.
The gloves won't work though... especially if they have the studs on them

Re: Boots and gloves questions
I was looking at the red "super hero" gloves, but I was wrong. I now know if I want to do a ROTJ guard I need burgundy. If I do decide on a ROTS the red gloves are okay though correct? Also are there places to buy the burgundy gloves. I have bigger hands (I am 6'5") and there is no way any women's size will fit. Sorry for all of the questions, but for me these will probably be the two hardest pieces of my costume to find.

Re: Boots and gloves questions
The red superhero gloves are like the red superman boots... So no, not good for current CRL
Re: Boots and gloves questions
Not that I'm aware of. I was in the same boat, even ordering the biggest burgundy ladies gloves on-line, hoping they would fit. Of course they didn'tMark-John Jinn wrote:I was looking at the red "super hero" gloves, but I was wrong. I now know if I want to do a ROTJ guard I need burgundy. Re: Boots and gloves questions
Are the gloves gauntlet style? Do the inner robes tuck into the gloves or do they cover the gloves? I can't tell from the reference pics.

Re: Boots and gloves questions
The simple answer is it depends on the version of the guard you are doing.Mark-John Jinn wrote:Are the gloves gauntlet style? Do the inner robes tuck into the gloves or do they cover the gloves? I can't tell from the reference pics.
AOTC/ROTJ - robes cover the gloves
ROTS - Robes tuck into the gloves
