anyone have experience with this helmet or seller?
I've seen this on the Ebay for some time now. Can anyone vouch for it?

CT is a decent helmet from what I have heard... there will be work that has to be done as this is just the raw helmet...

Thanks Stripes. By "work" do you mean sanding, cutting the visor, and painting? Or is there something more intensive to be expected?

Re: anyone have experience with this helmet or seller?
sanding, cutting, filing and filling....
A raw resin helmet will have pores from air bubbles and such that will need to be filled so you have a smooth surface, and the edges will likely be rough so you'll be wanting to spend a lot of time making them smoother so the helmet is more comfortable to wear... Lots of sanding and bondo work
Being that it's a white resin, you'll probably want to do something to the inside of the helmet to help darken it (black paint, padding, etc)

I see. I'm not that good with the bondo yet, so this is very useful information.stripes wrote:sanding, cutting, filing and filling....

I have two of these Helmets. I knocked one of these from Raw Kit to Finished Product within A standard work week. It is the picture in my avatar

Not really bondo so much unless you wanted to get out minor minor stuff. Lots of wet sanding

It's definitely larger than a Don Post. Its air bubbles are small, were pinhead sized on mine.
Anyone ever use joint compound in lieu Bondo? Any known issues?

Re: anyone have experience with this helmet or seller?
I can't stand Bondo...instead I've been using a flexible Bondo-alternative called Pro-Flex (PolyFlex is another brand). Basically it's flexible Bondo which I think would work much better on the curved surfaces of a TR bucket. I've never seen one of these buckets in person though so I can't comment first-hand though. I did get a life-long love (or hate...it depends upon my mood) of wet-sanding.
