Re: my saber pike
Not too shabby. I do like the quick release on yours. My first one was a solid piece connected.

Nice work. What do you have in there, a petit crouton dark meat? It has a mean growl. I've built something quite similar, but the greeblees aren't accurate. What did you utilize for those if I may ask?

They are all plumbing fittings from the local Bunnings (hardware) store.Toddo wrote:Nice work. What do you have in there, a petit crouton dark meat? It has a mean growl. I've built something quite similar, but the greeblees aren't accurate. What did you utilize for those if I may ask?

I started with a Darth Vader ultimate fx lightsaber which I gutted for the parts.
The blade fitted perfectly into 32mm electrical conduit so I used that for the main length.
I converted the power source from 3 x "AA" batteries to 3 x "C" size as they fit perfectly into the 32mm conduit also.
I used 32mm conduit joiners (with groves machined in them) for the handles and a 32mm pipe joiner end (cut off) for the emitter end.
It has had a basic coat of flat black so far but I plan on doing some dry brushing to highlight the features.
Cheers,
G
