Plexiglass

Hey I stopped in at a plastics shop today in Yakima. I told the guy what I was trying to do, Back armor piece for the FU Red Guard and the ab plate as well. He told me bout some of the different types there are and how some are moldable with low heat. He also showed me some black ABS plastic and other material. The guy also gave me a 1 square foot piece of clear plexiglass to kind of experiment with. Is plexiglass, clear but can be painted, used on any part of the guard costume or any Star Wars costume for that matter. Might just see if I can mold it into an ab plate. Any other thoughts?

Skel used the plexi to make the blades for the glaive for crimson empire. I would suggest styrene plastic as it is able to bend with heat.
