Spoox's Royal guard building progress

I started working on my Guard (finally) and So far it is mostly research haha. I am definitely going for the ROTS version!

The helmet I have already but it needs a lot of work. It has been on my shelf for several years and I have no clue who the maker is. Maybe some of you guys can help me out?
It needs sanding and painting still so that will be fun





I bought the following 2 patterns at Jo-Anns to use as base for the inner and outer robes since they were 60% off:

The later on the boot would be prob the "best" for the boot- but any red suede will work that does not have alot of trinkets on it. I wear an EP 3 robe

The helmet...is it fiberglass? If so it looks a lot like my FenixProp helmet (the bottom point not being 100% symetrical is the give-away to me). I agree...the last pair of boots in Wine looks the closest.

it is not fiberglas but a thick abs I think? I bought it on ebay a few years ago as "fanmade" to eventually work on.

I got some gloves that my hubby got me. These are from his Captain America costume that he is not using since he got a different pair for it so he gave them to me. Pretty sweet since they were pretty spendy

I also bought my fabric which I will post pics of later. They had 40% off coupons at Jo-Ann's so I made my deal today woot!







Looks like I will be cutting patterns this week

because of how large the lip is inside the visor area it looks like a recast don post. The don post had a ton of extra material in the visor area that was slightly recessed where the super thin red plastic was glued on. I'm almost 100% certain that's a dp

To be sure.. the ROTS has a RED visor correct?

I almost finished the inner robes! I just need to take in the bottom a bit as it is too long and make the sash and then I can start on the outer robes. I am excited!

Canon is Red but we have allowed black also so your eyes are not to be seen.
