Opinions? Velvet vs. Velvateen

Post by magustoad »

Hello all! I'm obviously new here and had a quick Q about soft goods.

Given the choice between velvet and velveteen, do you have any opinions on them? Pros/cons kinda stuff?

I must admit my experience with these two fabrics is limited and I'm not sure exactly what I want as of yet.

I'm very close to ordering my helm and pike, but the robes are a big sticking point with me for some reason.

Help tip my silly ass over the edge? :D

Stick with velvet, my robes are "tripple crushed" velvet

Do you know what the cleaning requirements are? I can imagine robes get funky after summer trooping outside.

Velvet is best and always carry Febreeze in your armor bin.
