Re: Exars TFU Royal build
I bought it on eBay. Unfortunately the liner is not removable like I thought it would be.

Yep. I assumed display only ment it wasn't up to safety standards, not that it wasn't clear. Lol so the search continues. The only sports visors in red I seem to be able to find are a red and gold brand which doesn't work.Gree23 wrote:Ah its one of those display visorsexar wrote:I bought it on eBay. I'm thinking about kaleva who does Mando visors and just see if they can make one without the bottom of the T.

If you can't find an actual red tinted visor, you might be able to find/use a regular visor and get some mirrored red window tint. I did something similar with another mask I have and needed yellow eyes. I used some yellow/gold mirrored tint and it worked great!

Re: Exars TFU Royal build
The visor that WTF supply usually is from Kaleva. Mine was a tad too small for my liking, so I was able to source a sheet from them from someone with an overstock, and it's perfect.exar wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 4:13 pmYep. Re: Exars TFU Royal build
Almost done, I think its just about ready for approval but i wanted to give you guys a chance to point anything out that i missed.
I want to put straps on the shoulder bells to hold them down like you do with a TK, but its not on the CRL, so i didn't put them on.
I also noticed looking at these pictures that there are chest pockets on the under suit that I need to remove.

Re: Exars TFU Royal build
This is my opinion as a GML, and based on the CRL, but that Kama is way too short. CRL states "When worn the Kama extends from the belt to the top of the costumer’s knee"
Of course your GML has final say, but I would not pass this because of that. Something to think about

Re: Exars TFU Royal build
That actually is the top of my knee, but its on Velcro so I can slide it down some so its mid knee if that looks better. Like wise my belt is upside down and shouldn't have the brown showing. lol
Anything else you see?

Re: Exars TFU Royal build
Mmmm, the bottom red line is the middle of your knee. The top line is where that Kama should come to. Remember it should be a trapezoid shape, so the back should be even with the points on the sides.

Also, and this is just me, but I would like to see your shoulders pulled in more. To where, if you can, the edge is at least touching the edge of the helmet. But again thats just me and the proper wear of the armor
