Due to the great resources here, I've been lurking since February working on and off on a TR for my 12-year old daughter. Due to her age, and this being mostly for Halloween, I've cut a lot of corners but still want to make it look good.
I first built the force pike out of a ski pole. The tutorial for building it (the guy's name escapes me) ended up not being as accurate to the screen caps as I'd have liked. Good enough for her though I suppose.
Since no patterns seem to be readily available to sew your own, I ordered from Cosplaysky on eBay. I also ordered a Don Post TR from the 90's. I also researched and bought some cheap/decent boots. Here she is with the pike, helmet, boots, and cosplaysky.

That was taken in May.
Following Darth Dog's WIP and paint colors, I painted the helmet a brighter red.

And applied the clear.

So today I got back at it. I put mesh in for the visor so she doesn't have to worry about fogging while trick or treating, plus you can't see her eyes. My MIL donated an old velvet dress to be a little more canon than the first pick with the cosplaysky. I also sewed up the left side to hide her arm.
I'm going to try to get a better pic outside. Here it is on a dummy.

Questions....
Are there any patterns for the belt and outer robe that are readily available? There must be a few hundred TR's in the legion and everyone can't have bought theirs from CP. Also a pattern for the belt would be nice.
Next, where/who do we buy gloves from? The cosplaysky gloves are a shiny vinyl.
Lastly, if she does want to go 501st when she gets older, what do I have that she can keep and what needs to be changed? Off the top of my head, I think the helmet works with the proper visor installed. The boots. The pike. And maybe the velvet dress. But you'd be the experts on that.
Thanks for looking and any additional help. It's a great forum here that I haven't had to post a WIP until now. Lots of info!
