Any body have some. Are they considered ok with the legion?

Re: Pics
Senate Guards are considered Rebel Legion, not 501st. Since they are very similar to Royal Guards, their discussion is welcome here. A few people on the old boards had Senate outfits, in both helmet styles. Not sure if they have popped back up on the new boards.
On a side note, I recently saw a dealer on ebay sell a complete costume (minus boots), including the ROTS style helmet for buyit now $425, I think. They also sold rifles separately that could be added to the lot. Looked pretty good, although the robes were long and would need hemming. Anyway, the price was so good I probably would have bought it if I'd had the spare cash. You might keep an eye out in case they make more.

There's a few pics I believe in the Photobucket:am1sh2el3 wrote:Any body have some. Are they considered ok with the legion?

They're very pretty costumes. Once I get my finances sorted I think I want to try my hand at one. I LOVE the plumed helmet.

And like Skel said, these are REBEL LEGION costumes, not 501st Legion, so it would get you membership with the sister club of those pesky good guys.

But we're the ones researching and sourcing the costume(s), since no one in the Rebel Legion seems to be doing so, and most of what goes into them is already worked out through the Episode II and III Red Guards -- just in a different colour.

Re: Pics
I've collected several images and posted them on my blog: http://costumesandartwork.blogspot.com/ ... mages.html since I'll be making one of these for my husband. It's true that the Blue Guard is technically Rebel Legion, but I like that we can discuss it here, since it is so similar to the Royal Guards.

There are RL folks wanting to do this costume. They are putting forth research, but what better way to glean good solid information that to hit up the Imperials who do similar costumes. This really isn't an issue that we do the research. This really should be a collaborative affair. Both groups working together can only mean that the end result is one high quality, movie-accurate costume to offer to the costuming community.

Re: Pics
What I was saying is that since we've already got a message board for people working on the predacessor to the Prequel Guards (of either colour), it simply makes sense to have all our R&D minds collected under one umbrella. I wan't saying the Senate Guard should be a 501st costume because it's similar to the Royal Guard.
