Shadow Guard Cloak Material

Currently looking into materials for my cloak for the Shadow guard. Im looking into Velveteen rather than velvet. Because I do live in New England and spontaneous water can be quite common. Can anyone recommend what I should be looking for? After some digging I have discovered these two possible candidates. People seem to like distinctive fabrics so I thought Id give them a shot. But of course before I buy anything I look to the wisdom of the forums.

This is an additional Piece for the costume but it is not required for approval for the costume. The Costume needs to have the Armor parts for approval.

Im aware. Did you have any thoughts on the material? Im hoping to order soon, but to also order correctly =/
