The Construction of my Imperial Senate Guard

Post by GonzaSkywalker »

Hello everyone! I want to share the progress of my Imperial Senate Guard, this is my very first full test suit. Still need to finish the kama and forearms, and make some new changes to the shoulders, but since everything you see, you are ready to be painted! Also included the color achieved with the manager of the paint shop, based in the color of the Captain Argyus armor. Tomorrow I hope to have a test ready to share it with you! Any comments or constructive criticism will be welcomed!

Note: abdominal plate and backplate are crooked, because I had no one to help me to accommodate strips lol

Your Kama fabric shouldn't be too hard to find in a Navy Blue Gaberdine

I don't know anything about the senate guard but it looks good just the same.

I've been thinking of doing one of these, as I love the blue guards and this is the only version 501st approvable.

Was it hard to sort out the armour?

Hello everyone! After a while without working on this project, I decided to pick up. Now I am able to paint the armor, but I would like you to tell me if this is the right color! In advance, thank you very much!

The official color would be a Dark Navy Blue with Gloss coating.

When we first met on this issue Stephen, you said to me that color was Navy Blue (No dark), And you gave me photographs of your armor to use reference for choosing the color. Remember that this project is the Imperial Guard of TFU, not the Imperial Guard of the Republic.

Hello Gonza! Just to make sure we are all on the same page. Am I correct in assuming that what you are building is the blue version of the TFU Shadow Guard found in the links below?

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Senate_Guard

If this is what I believe you are building, your first arm guard picture looks fine. I assume you will just take the current Shadow Guard CRL and then make a blue variant of it. We are trying to find good reference material beyond the two pictures posted here. If you have better quality reference images than those in the link, it would be great if you could post them here.

Please correct me if I am wrong Gonza.

Hi!! That's correct! This is the armor in which i'm working for. I already talk in private with LuciousTalvloinne, and
We already agreed as to the paint color and type of gabardine I need to use. In the coming weeks, after I received my new forearms, I start with the paint job to put the suit consideration and to be the first to approve it and to work together in the CRL :D

Awesome Gonza. As you are already an experienced Shadow Guard builder, this should be no problem for you. I believe it is mainly going to be color variant from the Shadow Guard.

The shadow guard born from the frustration of not being able to find the blue indicated for the Senate guard, but never gets to approve it. It is the same armor, which already unpainted and ready to become a guard senate ;)
