Boot questions.

I misunderstood entirely - my boots match the inner robe fabric very well.
I have about 3 days left where I can still return them - should I?

I am discussing this with my XO and we will have an answer for you later today.

Thanks stripes, sorry for the fuss here is the photo of my boots again, plus a new one with the helmet. They are much closer in colour to the inner than the outer. If there is doubt, I can return them and go for black boots, but I thought these were a better match than black boots would be




It looks like my boots are quite similar in colour to those in the original post, so i hope this can help the original poster out too...

After discussing the boots with my XO, we are concerned that they may be too dark of a red shade, especially if they match the inner robe fabric more than they do the outer robe. Everything else about them is just fine for boot style, etc.

My suggestion would be to ask your GML directly, since they will be making the final approval decision on your ROTJ Royal Guard costume.

So I ended up going with the Saigon Slouchy boots from the first link and they came in today. Overall, these aren't the best pictures of the boots either (I suck at pictures and I didn't straighten the boots out as much as I should have before snapping the pic), but they're here! More importantly, they match the fabric perfectly (the scrap of fabric on the shoe is the outer robe fabric). It came out looking a little pink in the pictures, but that's just the way the lighting worked out. Its much more red looking in natural daylight, which I'd have used if we had any.

They are very snug around the calf for anyone else looking at the shoe. I recommend ordering a size up if you aren't sure about them.
