helmet selection

Post by TK-2521 »

I've been looking at the FP helmets over on the bay and everything looks good as far as I can tell. I've read in past posts that some of your guys recommend them. Would it truly be a good helmet for someone who is say about 5'6" ?

A lot will depend on more than just height... for example the size of the head, the body build, etc... a helmet that is good for someone who is a bigger person isn't the same as it is for someone who is skinny... same with how big the head is... if the helmet is too big, it could slide around and become a pain to keep in place while at events.

Can you provide more detail so we can try and assist in this?

I'm 6'4" and the FP helmet is great for me. There are some smaller ones out there, Don Post being the smallest. PM incoming for another option which might work.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm in the same boat. Looking for an ROTJ helmet for someone that's 5'8, and roughly 150lbs.

So, I bought an FP helmet off ebay, it looks great, but despite measuring my head before ordering, the recessed portions of the face prevent it from fitting my head.

Does anyone know of somewhere that can custom make a helmet? I still would love to work on a guard, but this just really depressed me. Also, I most likely have one available now...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The FP helmet is the largest I know of. Your only hope at this point would be to consider cutting and expanding the helmet.
