Hello all. i was recently reading another topic in the forum about The inner robe and inner linning of the outer robe not being shiny by using Gaberdine material. It was reffering to the ROTJ robes and I was wondering if it also applies to the AOTC robes. One more thing. Is velvet in the AOTC outer robes too shiny? Please clarify
Thanks

Re: A redundant robe Question
All materials for the robes are to be non-shiny fabrics. This applies for ALL versions with robes.
Velvet gas a grain to it and if laid one way will produce a shine, if laid the other it will not. It is easy. To see this when you lay the fabric out and run your hand over it. If the fabric remains smooth, you are going with the grain. If the fabric feels slightly rough and appears to look different after passing your hand over it, you have gone against the grain.
For the purposes of the robes, the grain of the fabric should flow from head to toe.
