Opinion on boots

Post by Madighon »

Hello,
Does anyone have an opinion on these boots?

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Big-size ... 30728.html

The rhinestone bowtie can be removed and actuallyl does not show up on the picture of the red boot.

Also, I wear a size 10 mens US shoe, does anyone know how to convert that to a women's size? I have heard to add 2 shoe sizes, does that sound right?

Thanks,
Madighon

The bow as you have said needs to be removed. As far as sizing, you need to add a minimum of 2 sizes to get a womens size for men. Granted, if you have a wide foot, you'll need to add even more just to get the width to fit.

Thanks for the input. It looks like the bow is actually seperate and just wrapped around the boot.

Other than taking off the bow, you think the boot meets acceptable standards?

Thanks,

I have these. You'll have to add 3 to 4 sizes at least to get a fit. Even then, they are quite narrow, especially under the heel. Be aware that they have a 1 and a half to 2 inch hidden heel as well.

As far as I know they meet the standards.

The hidden heel will make them rather uncomfortable for longer troops. You may want to consider other options.

Correct. I only wear these for short periods of time where I'm not required to move a lot. (They do look good though)

For the most part it's the black boots that get worn.

I have a pair of Jack boots for my Tie Pilot costume. These may be a good option then to wear for approval and short troops or events like cons where we are taking lots of photos and not moving much.

Thanks everyone for your opinions.
