Hey all. I was wondering if these boots I found would be approved? If not does anyone have any good recommendations?

Re: Approvable boots?
For Black boots, we generally encourage Jack style boots (similar to an officer) rather than ankle boots. That being said, if your inner and outer robes conceal the tops of the boots at all times these may be acceptable as they do not have any extraneous stitching.
Re: Approvable boots?
Thanks for the reply. I'm actually asking for my brother who has a pair of jackboots but can't wear them because he has a large instep and can't get them on without taking out the soles. I'm trying to help him track down something that would be easier for him to be able to wear.
If you have some suggestions that doesn't involve taking the boots he has to a booter I'll gladly pass it along to him. The only booter within about a 4 hour drive of us doesn't know the toe from the heel I believe.

If you have any western wear/tack shops nearby, you can often find plain black, lace less boots that are workable for people with larger (ie:wide) feet and high insteps (personal experience)
Re: Approvable boots?
I have basically those same boots. My robes are long enough to conceal where the tops are so it wasn't a big issue. I did color in the bottom soles of them with a Sharpie so everything was black and not brown and black. They passed, and they're actually really comfy!
