Dead Nutz' ROTJ WIP

Post by dead nutz »

Getting a fire under my ass to get a bunch of projects finished this year as my discretionary funding has expanded due to having no more health issues... YAY!!!

Helmet: I've been holding on to a Royal guard ( Rubies ) bucket for a couple years and now I'm ready to get started. It looks like I should change the visor, and possibly repaint to match incoming robes. I'm leaning more towards FP for soft parts as I can not sew to save my life. That being said... Does anyone have any experience with the FP robes colors in regards to the helmet color of the rubies? Is re-painting even needed?

Robes and gloves: As stated before; I'm leaning towards FP

Boots: I've got some boots I'm using for my Vader that I think might fit the bill, as I can not find the accurate red suede. They are the Chippewa 17' Engineer boots with buckles removed and stitching colored black. I believe the product number is 27908. Thoughts?

Force pike: This one is a bit tricky. I tried to build one myself and wasted my time and good money. Also tried to purchase one from a "gentleman" I met here, and got my money stolen. Which is a large reason this project has remained unfinished. So if anyone knows where I can acquire a force pike rather reasonably; I would really appreciate it.

With all that being said, I currently have 3 other WIPs.....I'm a bit tired. A ROTJ Vader, an Imperial knight, and A Clone Commander Neyo. As I am the only Vader in my area and it needs A LOT of work, its the one that will get the most attention, money wise. So this project right here might take a while. The sacrifices we make.....

I have the FP soft parts but I painted my own helmet so I can't speak to the color differences/similarities. The engineering boots should be fine so long as the bottom strap/buckle is removed (I'd say the upper strap would be fine but I'd wait for others to speak on that). I'm curious what happened with the forcepike you "wasted my time and good money". I think they're not hard to build at all and I'd be willing to talk to you further about making another one for about $20 in parts + paint if you don't already have it.

It seems your´re busy in WIP´s. Good luck with all the projects ;)

To the FP softparts, I would say you have to repaint your Rubies bucket, that it match to the outer robe.
I had the FP softparts to start, for that they work, but I don´t favor them anymore for myself.
