Suede Boots?

Biggest thing for me is the sole of the boot is brown.... Would recommend painting it black if you go this route

Wouldn't be a problem with the paint, but I wanted some which are summer-friendly and are accepted by the CRL... ( I know I could get black ones, but for me, those would not do esp as there are enough woman shoes which are red ) do you think those would match if I paint the sole black?

I am also looking for proper boots.
Red suede boots are difficult to obtain. So I want to take black boots for the approval of the costume. Then I will take my time to find accurate red boots.
Are this black boots acceptable?

For me I haven´t find any red boots that satisfied me at all^^ ...and I don´t like these women shoes as an alternativ option for me( indeed I can´t find some in my size )!

The TK style red boots looks cool except the brown sole!

I´m always searching for a costum-made boot! That´s my next point on my to-do list! Have got a interesting tip by Geohazard for those boots.

"AND" also my personal view is that a black boot looks great to any RG! Mostly you see only the top of your boots!
For approval i prefer the German Army boots like shown at this images!

Very comftable to wear and they have hooves of steel on the sole which makes a good sound

Mostly I prefer my jackboots, which I also use for my Imperial Staff Officer!

Heel- and toe-plates and hobnails on Jackboots do indeed make a great sound when marching on troops, but it is important to remember that on more gentle surfaces, like carpet and tile, the metal can be damaging.

The shorter boots are jackboots, and the taller ones are motorcycle boots, closest in style to riding boots.

I found those boots, it you take of the backside they are really great. I painted my soles also black. I just thought I might share this. I guess over in the states they got similar shoes like this? they are really cheap and the quality is okay, great for starters I would think

These are iffy. I would like to see what the modified boots look like before saying it's a viable alternative
