What method do you guys use to connect the visor to the helmet? I finally have both parts but I'm not sure how to go about securing the visor in the helmet.

you can use anything from Electrical Tape to Industrial Glue.

I used an all temperature glue and glue gun. This seemed to be a better option than a low or a high temperature glue (high might have melted the helmet, low might have melter when the helmet is being worn).

What have you guys done with the visor opening? Did you cut it out completely and secure the visor from the inside or leave a lip to glue it down from the outside?

I currently have my visor velcroed, I wanted to be able to swap it out with relative ease if the need ever came up either for another color or for a repaint. It's a Small bit more inset than I would ideally speaking like it but it still looks good and gives me the versatility I wanted.

I used hot gule on mine just in a few sections. I did not seal it all the way around so I could have a small bit of air flow. This also makes for easy removal if needed.

That's not a bad idea but I wonder how easy it would be to spot the velcro through a red visor. Time for another trip to Michael's!

It isn't a bad idea at all. I'd cut the visor much larger than the opening and attach from inside, leave some spots for some (small) ventilation... Velcro would be hidden, too. I might try and see.

I was just thinking about some other ways to secure the visor into my helmet and used clear packing tape. A piece on each corner, about 1" overlap on the end, and presto! It sticks to the inside of the helmet great and doesn't leave a lot of residue after.

I have a new question. Has anyone ever made the visor opening a little bigger? My lens would cover an opening bigger than the DP comes with and I could use a little more visibility. I'm not talking a huge gap, maybe starting at the corner and tapering an extra 1/8" to 1/4" down to the bottom.

The DP comes with a "lip" under the red film it comes with. This is the 1st thing I modded. I trimmed the outer area with a dremel and made flush. Gave a bit more area for sight and air.
