Howdy all! I just got a Don Post helmet and it's in pretty decent condition. Just a few scratches to mend and that's it. My question is about the visor though. It has a mesh screen visor that's in fine condition but I think I would like to get a red mirrored visor for the "official" look. I was wondering if a red motorcycle helmet visor would work or if anyone has any better suggestions. The visor I have now looks like it's been hot glued to the inside. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the glue without ruining the inside of the helmet? Thanks all!

I'll take this in reverse order...

To remove the hotglue you could run a hairdryer inside the helmet and losen the glue. Be careful though, a Don Post is easily bendable when it comes to heat (ie...people have said their helmets have almost melted on their heads after a hot-weather troop).

As for the visor. I've seen people who used red-reflective football helmet visors which have been found on Ebay.
