Hi all!

I just wanted to start this thread and update as all the different pieces come together, that way you can all see the progress. Although as I've said I don't have the skills to sew, I thought it would be nice to show you what all the different pieces look like as they arrive.

First item to arrive are the boots I ordered. I ended up going with the ones from shoe buy. They are really comfortable due to the sole, and the way I see it is these could be used for general use (or heaven forbid I go on any charity walks...). I'm still interested in getting the boots that Lucious is having made up, I would just rather use those for certain events due to the screen accuracy and design of the boot (really wouldn't want those to get ruined out at say an Easter show).

The shoe buy boot does cover my ankle, however a red zipper has been placed on the inside, and the toe of the boot aren't at an extreme point (however they aren't as round as the pictures seem to make them).

Hey all! Just looking to get some feedback on the close up picture above. I'm thinking I will need a darker lense (as in black) in order to have everything right. I'm wondering if I could just tint the lense rather than removing what was put in there nicely by the manufacturer?

The red matches the way it was in the movies...but a lot of people use black or darker red. If you want (and can) you're free to put some window tinting on the inside...something like 20% VLT (visible light transmission) is more than enough to make it look red on the outside but a much darker red and you'll still be able to see.

I agree with what Jester has said... granted if it was me I'd want a darker visor just to hide the eyes and nose in photographs... but that's just me ;)

Thanks guys :) I'll do the tint just to hide the eyes and nose a little, I dont want them to be as obvious as they are in the photos.

Just thought I would get a couple of pictures up quickly of the outfit. This set will soon become my 'outside' robes as I'm getting a second set together using more material (about 10 yards) to get some better pleating, and flow. These new robes will be for formal or 'inside' events and I'll get photos up once they are complete.
