Does anyone have a pattern for the epIII robes, or even a suggestion as which patterns would work for a guideline?

Have a look under the discussion for the AOTC Ep II guards as there is a discussion thread about the robes there that might help.

To bring some of the discussion over here, the ROTS robes are believed to have 4 slits, and your pattern would resemble and iron cross (like the bottom pattern).

If you read my discussion in the AOTC thread, I think the ROTS robe could be done the exact same way I am doing my AOTC, only with four slits. My theory is that the side panels need to fold under the front panel and be attached at the shoulder (similar in appearance to a Dooku cape). If you made the "back half" of the side panels do the same thing, and had the front and back panels hang freely from the shoulders down, I think you might achieve the ROTS look.
