Here's an upgrade. For a slight sacrifice in visibility and canonicity, I got much improved ventilation, internal space and lighter weight:
More seriously, that's the IKEA "Fniss" wastebasket which I use as a stand, and into which I stuff the bucket when I travel. It doesn't protect the lower edges, but better than nothing.
