Dutch Shadow Guard

Post by TK-5256 »

Hi guys,

Here's my Shadow Guard I worked on for a while. It still needs its approvemend.
Things that need to get done are the pike (what possibilities are there to get approved? How simple can it be done?) and the shoulder bells for now. If there are any other things that need to be done by your opinion than let me hear!

Here it is:

Here is how I did mine.

Thats just basically a Sink drain stopper on the top followed by extension cord wrapping. Painting it black would be the preferred. As that was the color in the promo LFL pic. Hasbro doesn't always do paint schemes right.

belt should have a groove on the top and bottom.

This is the saber pike I did today. It's silver like in the game.

What is the best way to make that groove on the belt?

Probably looking at it from Promo picture to game picture... probably a nice in the middle GUN METAL would work. I know the bright silver seems to look odd - but the metal aspect on yours is well inter-graded. I see only one greeblie missing on the bike the "extention wrapping under the coils"

I would think maybe a leather rotor would do the grooves on the belt.

I made some change in the paint job, but I think it came out great. I finally changed from saber pike, by machining the pieces to replace the original ones. Still need to do the grooves though....

I was actually planning to use the TB shoulder Bells for the guard shoulders. It took too long to get them here, so I started with sculpting them myself and vacuumforming them:

Looking good, you should trim down the helmet tho - needs quite a bit of taper.

More pics please - nice to see a red version :)

- belt grooves can be done on a table saw.

While a taper would be nice, It probably won't be something we are too strict from. No real measurements where taken of prequel guards tat I know of.

The taper makes the proportions look better in my opinion :shadow:

p.s This past halloween - I wore my guard and spent the night dueling Plo koo (choreographed of course)

was all good - but need more fans to keep up with the erm.. moisture.
