Frankie’s Royal Guard build

Hello everyone,

after some months of work I am (hopefully) soon to finish my TFU Royal Guard. The initial plan was to get it finished and approved by the end of summer but due to some health issues I wasn't able to, now my goal is to at least send in the application for approval by Halloween :D

I will upload some photos from my journey so far, starting with some already sanded and smoothed armor parts.

I 3d printed all the armor parts with ABS and resin coated the helmet from the inside so it hopefully won’t warp because of heat.

Next step was painting.

In between waiting for the paint to dry I also got around to make the Saber pike, for that I used 3d printed parts, a cheap lightsaber from Amazon and a good old broomstick :D
Some sanding and a coat of black gloss paint later and it’s finished

And last but not least some photos of my first time wearing almost every part of the costume.

I know I still need to do the red straps for the shins (which is why I had to fix them with painters tape in the photos :D) and I need to make the Kama which I need to learn some basic sewing skills from my Mom for.
But overall I’m pretty happy with how it’s looking so far :D

Please feel free to tell me if anything’s looking weird or out of the ordinary, any feedback is welcome :D

Cheers and greetings from Germany

looks very good! The only thing, and it might be the lighting, is that the armor pieces looks dull, and that some 3D print lines still shows. But for the rest, it seems fine size-wise!

Thank you! :)
I noticed that too, but after some polishing both problems were solved or at least unnoticeable.
Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you mate!

In the last week I got around to work on the last parts before applying for approval. Besides painting and gluing the straps on the shin pieces I finally finished the belt buckle and, most importantly, got around to make the Kama (thanks to my mom helping me :D ).

After having finished all that, today was finally the day to take approval photos and send them away, so let’s see how it goes.
Also noticed that my right foot piece is hanging on to dear life in one of the photos, so I didn’t use that one for the application :D

That’s it for now,
Cheers!
