Maybe. I talked to my wife (who hemmed mine) and she said she just did a regular hem (and made sure the color or the thread matched well) and that there is possibly too much tension when yours was sewed. She suggested a walking foot to help with that.

While I am not yet satisified with my costume quality, it did pass muster with my GML. Thank you everyone for your help in making me official!
