I’m working on my outer robes today. I’m a bit confused by the patterns posted in the forums.

How is the front piece attached to the back? Is it sewn in place on one side with a fastener on the other side? Is it a completely separate piece? Or is it sewn down over both shoulders with a hidden opening under the front of the helmet?

Is the seam right on the shoulder or a little behind the shoulder (slightly over the back)?

Is there a seam going front to back where a sleeve seam would be?

Do I gather the fabric on the shoulders to form the pleats mentioned in the CRL? Or are they actual pleats? (If actual pleats, how many pleats and how deep are they?)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Regarding the inner robes...

I am a very curvy female. In order to create the same streamlined look as the male costumers, are princess seams acceptable?

Can anyone answer this question for me? Please?
