So I have finally made some significant progress on my guard costume. I now have the helmet (Rubies, so far unmodified but with a new visor on the way) and the robes. I got the robes today so they are un-hemmed and still quite wrinkled. I also have been building a force pike which is nearly done as I am just waiting on a part for the tip to come in the mail. All I have left to order is the boots and gloves and I am planning on waiting until I get the boots to hem the robes so they are the exact right length.

One question I have is, how does the shoulders/helmet look to you all? I am wondering if I need to think about pads or not for the shoulders.

The shoulders look fine but that gap in the neck is quite a common problem,some people make a sort of foam collar,here's the thread:
