Hi there,
I never planed to do a built thread, however I did some documentation. So the following pictures just show in between stages of my built.
I made all three versions of the Guard.

hard parts: Jimmiroquai
boots & gloves: Imperial Boots
tunica: Steinbrecher Designs
skirt: one-off production
weapons: 3D Print based on files by Empire3D

Wow this is some genuine advanced building skills on display. Your thread will hopefully help other guards.

Hey Action Jackson, can you pass along details on how you modified the back of your bucket? I might do the same with mine during my repaint this summer....
Thanks! :D

@CrimsonGuard
Thank you so much.

@Shikkakku
My main reference for the modification of the jimmi helmet was this short sequence.

Image

First, I glued a 0,5 mm polystyrene strip inside the helmet.
I marked the lip, which stands out 4,5 mm and the circle. Diameter is that of a 5 €-Cent coin (21 mm). It's placed in the center under the lowest oval detail.
The gap in the middle is 24 mm wide. The edges are a bit bevelled inwards.
I then trimmed it back and reinforced it with fiberglass and resin.

Excellent, thank you! Definitely putting this on the to-do list during my summer repairs.

Awesome work! Thank you for sharing all the pictures.

I was wondering. What type of mesh did you use to wrap the handle of the sword?

@Darth Corndog

Thank you!
I tried a lot of different mesh types for the sword handle. In the end I used a frying pan splash guard.

Nice work, I'll keep an eye on this topic to see how it evolves.

nice guide. will take some of your stuff for mine :)

Just a question, did you (or someone else) received the abdome part also with that split?
is that normal, cause never saw that in any building guides?

Oh no! I got mine intact and afaik so did everyone else, so by the ragged edges I think yours got damaged during shipping and just split :(

You did get the flexible fiberglass abdomen right? I suggest talking to Jim to see if he has any advice on repairs or possibly a replacement.
