Thanks for the link! The only problem I'd see with those is that they might be calf height, rather than the full knee height that the CRL calls for. Boots are a pain like that!

On the plus side, I finally got the last of the paint onto my armour today, except the vambraces which I glued together the other day with ABS paste and sanded back today before giving them the automotive filler treatment.

I'll give the vambraces a coat or two of primer filler this afternoon and sand them back after, hopefully might even get some paint on them!

Then I'm sure these are the right ones, they are just like the ones in the CRL and I've read good reviews from Imperial Boots, they are also part of the 501st and make everything as the CRL says

Small update. I happened to speak to a fellow Aussie who put me onto a company in Australia that has some acceptable boots, so I called in today and managed to score the very last pair in the store!

In regards to the boots, how is everyone attaching the greaves and spats to the boots? I was thinking of using contact adhesive, but am a bit iffy, in case I want to remove them at some point later. Is elastic strapping around the back of the boots an acceptable way of attaching them?

We have a public holiday tomorrow here so I'll be feverishly working away to get everything complete and may even get a test run on the armour. The kama is just left now to sew up and need to get the armour onto the flight suit. Getting close!

I'm planning on putting elastic/Velcro strapping to put them on my boots. That way I can re-use the boots for another costume if I need.

Thanks mate! Taking photos of the visor is very tricky! It's a nice red, but when the light hits it, it makes it look a bit lighter in the photo :)
