Shadow Guard Build

EDIT:
I made some adjustments to the below with what I actually ended up using in my build. There were some things that bit me.

Armor and Helmet:
Walt's Trooper Factory. The shins and forearms don't match the CRL exactly. The helmet though, is really lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Undersuit:
Black Twill Coveralls

This is the pair that I picked up. A separate suit did not have enough fabric to make my kama.

Kama:
I went to Joanne's and found fabric that matched color and style of my coveralls. I ended up with a 31"x28" kama that covered my side pockets sufficiently.

Boots:
These are the boots that I ended up getting. They are comfortable and fit good. I'm considering cutting them down below the stretch panel, so I can use them for Level 3 approval.

Regardless of what boots you pick up, invest in a set of boot hooks and a boot puller. Makes getting the boots much easier to get on and off.

Belt:
So, I originally made a mistake on the belt. The Anovos one I ordered had sizing holes in it. Oops. I ordered this belt as a replacement. I talked with Darman and got it without the rivet and with the edge grooves.

Gloves:
These are the gloves that I ended up using. Have to be sure to double check the sizing when you order. First pair I got were a touch snugger than I prefer. They work just fine with my Imperial Officer costume, though.

Optionals:
I'd eventually like to do a robe and saberpike. Not going to try an tackle those right now.

Thanks for the input.

Ok. Couple of Lessons Learned.

1. I ordered the wrong belt. It was only after a couple of weeks I realized that I ordered the belt with the silver stud on the side. TIE Pilot/Officer style and NOT the plain belt that it shows in the CRL.

Question: Can I paint the silver stud black or did I just get a head start on my TIE Pilot Kit??

2. Red Kap Overalls. I ordered one my size, 46L, and was going to order one oversized, 62R, to have left over material for the Kama. Unfortunately, I missed in the pictures that the Red Kap Overalls have an elastic belt that runs through it. Meaning, there is not enough clean material in the back of a set of overalls to make a kama. I'm 6'4, 220lbs. I need about 30" x 30" of material.

After an hour in Jo Ann Fabrics, I found some upholstery material that is a good match, color and texture, for the overalls. Not gonna lie. I thought that I was going to make a change mid stream and go with a TFU Royal Guard :tr: . I found a Red Duck Canvas that matched the coveralls pretty quickly.

If you're looking for material this is what I found:

It was on sale. 2 yards for less than $20

Sigh.

Painting over the Silver snap is perfectly fine for that modification.
