Broadcloth

I am trying to get the proper materials together to make my robes. I am doing an ATOC style and was wondering if broadcloth is suitable for the outer robe lining?

As long as it is wine or burgundy coloured, it should be acceptable. Remember that your inner robe and obi must be made of the same fabric as your outer robe lining.
I've been told that gabardine is the recommended fabric, but broadcloth will do if you can't source any. Mine is made of broadcloth and while its cheap, its really light and feels flimsy.

Gabardine fabric would be located in the bottom weight section of the fabric shop. So that should help clear up where to look for said fabric.
