Buying Fabrics For Inner Robe

So while looking online for the inner robe fabric, I came across this:
https://www.fabric.com/buy/bf-212/alpin ... 165e4fc1c1

(Link leads to the "Alpine Upholstery Velvet Burgundy" on fabric.com)

I was wondering if this fabric would would hold up to inspection since it's listed as a velvet, but in the contents section of the page it has the fabric listed as "100% Polyester". Would this still count as a passable material?

The color looks to be correct and the price is much more reasonable then other's I've been looking at, I am just unsure if the material would hold up to inspection.

Looks to have the right feel and texture. They should have a swatch option also.

Would that just be the best option? Get a swatch and try to send in an image of it for approval?

When its a new type of fabric that I'm not used to its the route I go. For underrobes and lining I would say you're fine.

I used an upholstery velvet for my inner and thought it was too shiny. Was a nice browner burgundy like the movie stills but at the wrong angle it glimmered. I remade it out of a double velvet and, in my opinion is better. I would post pics but on hosting service yet.
