Hi Crimson Guard,

Thanks for the pleather of advice :suitup:
We (seemstress and I) werent to sure about the sleeve length....but from you advice were going fix it up. We have plenty of the Burgundy cloth for the insides of the outer robe. :tr2: The sash is the same material as the inner robe, just lighting of the photo.

And I will keep everyone posted. I do fifo work, so can only work on it once a month when in town..

For photos (including submission):
  • Do not use a flash or flourescant lighting;
  • Be outdoors if at all possible; and
  • Use natural lighting
This will help ensure that reds look right, and minimize washing out or looking like different colors. It won't be perfect, as velvet in particular, has a weird way of looking different in photos no matter what you do. But it'll help a lot.

Glad to be of help. Submission photo of mine was outdoors but under a canopy as the GML didn't want it outdoors with sun streaming on it causing shadows. As you see here it's natural lighting. And its the first shot they took before side profile and back shots.

The Forcepike is finished!! I wasnt happy with the tip, and had a flash back to my Army Days and the Cane I use to carry. So I used a plastic prop bullet.

Nice forcepike. Never seem one with a bullet too. That's cool. Mine has a syringe at the tip.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates....life.

Caught up with my seamstress today...inner ribes completed. Did a mock outerrobe with calico...discovered we need to make it slightly longer at the front and work on acheiving the "waterfall" effect.

Heres a photo with robes, gloves, forcepike and helmet
How does it look?
