Lining fabric
So I can't figure out a clear answer on what the inner lining should be?
I know the inner robe is recommended to be gabardine, and the outer robe should be velvet/velveteen.
The lining for the outer robe all I can find is that it's recommended to also be velvet/velveteen, but is this required? If not what other fabrics are allowed for it? (velvet/velveteen is REALLY hard to get here) can we also use the gabardine for that?

Re: Lining fabric
If the CRL lists specific material than it is required to be made of what is listed. In order to have an option, it would generally be listed as "preferred" or "recommended" with other acceptable options usually listed.
Based on the CRL for the outer robe, it specifically says velvet or velveteen.
The lining of the outer robe is the exact same material as the inner robe. The sash also needs to be the same material as the inner robe.
As to material of the inner robe, I'd stick to the recommended material as it'll be simpler approval process but I'll defer to the experts on what other materials may work.

Re: Lining fabric
It does say preferably, hence why I'd like to hear from command what is the actual rule
" fully lined in
burgundy or dark purple fabric, preferably velvet or velveteen that
matches the inner robe."
If the lining of the outer robe is the same material as the inner robe it wouldn't be velvet/velveteen as I was told to use gabardine for that
Basically it's a bit confusing at the moment, so I'd just like a final word from command to be certain it'll pass.

Re: Lining fabric
That's the ROTJ CRL though, I'm making a ROTS hence why I posted it in this forum
The rots one does not state specifically if it's velvet or can also be gabardine, the updated crl states preferably, so since it was mentioned to use gabardine in my WIP topic, I want to be sure I can use that for the lining as well before doing so. I wasn't fully certain if it was meant to use it for inner robe, or inner robe AND lining.
Velvet/velveteen is nearly impossible to get here, so the other options would definitely be preferred.

Re: Lining fabric
It is for inner robe and lining and you can use gabardine for RotS.

Re: Lining fabric
So back to this question again.
Since I'm allergic to wool It's a little more difficult finding the right colour gabardine available.
I found this one, which I THINK is the same as burgundy (the colour name is in Dutch here).
And it's also cotton, so would be perfect for me, especially since I have family in Holland that could send it on to me.
What do you guys think of it?
