I live in Norway and was about to order fabrics from distinctive.com when I saw that they don't ship outside the U.S
Does anyone know about a good webstore that does ship abroad and that has good fabrics?
Thanks
Hellvira

Hi from Spain, I bought my velvet in Sevilla online, you have different websites, velvet is superior, rich and wonderfull but as for every good thing you will pay for it. I searched the web by posting "Terciopelo rojo Sevilla" becouse they use velvet for their catholic statues robes and others since 1500, and it's known, their velvet is the best one you can find (don't know if I can post the webs) . They send it by post and the packaging is the one proffesionals use. The velvet (terciopelo) arrived to me in 5 labour days and I live just in the opposite part of the country from them (2000 km). As they send by post I imagine no matters where you live. I had some questions for them, and they helped me by phone with the highest kindness. ( in spanish...english is in unkown language from the outer space to them). Note they use to have 30% discount pero meter if you order 10 m (don't know if I can post prices).

Mortty, go ahead and post sites and prices! The only things you have to be careful about is the helmet makers, because they are making replicas of copy-righted things. But fabrics, gloves, boots, anything else, post away!

Ok, thanks for the help.
So....velvet highest quality is 40 € per meter. But, if you buy 10 mts or more, it becomes 28 € per meter. So it's cheaper to buy 10 m instead the 8 m we usually buy ( 8x40= 320 € ; 10x28= 280 €). I bought mine in
http://www.siglobarroco.com. but there are plenty more sellers. Siglo Barroco has a very poor and simply web so I started by asking them by web and finish the purchase by phone as they called me (speaking spanish). In Spain you can pay on arrival, by bank transfer slip or by visa.
Ask in the web, but paying on arrival seems to me the best option.
Shipping cost was 40 € and arrival time in 5 labour days. Package was hihgly proffesional.
You will find many velvet sellers in Sevilla, just search "venta terciopelo Sevilla" , I have never looked for it in english.
I hope this will help you.
Note: In Spain we usually use 8 or 9 meters of velvet for the outter robes, depending on your mesures.
