Hi everyone ! I'd need your advice on these boots. Would the toe and/or zipper be an issue ??

Thanks

Hello,

What Royal guard type are you doing?

I am doing a Shadow Guard and have ordered a pair myself to use until I find something better and ideally without a zip (as they tend to break easy).

Funtasma boots seem to have mixed reviews on Amazon/EBay. Some owners say they are excellent while others say they fall apart pretty quickly. End of the day it’s a fairly cheap pair of boots. I understand they are acceptable to wear for the 501 as the zip is in the inside. Plus if doing a Shadow Guard the foot armour does hide a fair amount of the boot.

However I have found the following:

http://www.imperialboots.com/product/thehux/ - not cheap though
http://www.imperialboots.com/product/jackboots/ - not sure if they are long enough for shin armour (if doing Shadow Guard).

These will work as an alternative but if you can find Red Suede boots that would be the most movie accurate.

I use them for my ROTS guard since red boots are not available in a 15. I put new insoles in to make them more corfortable

I bought a pair of these (two actually) and they work really nice red boots. I'd suggest at least one size larger then you need... but don't forget they are women's sizes so men make sure to convert the sizes appropriately before adding the 1-2 sizes.

They are quite long, and are women's boots. But they are easy to modify with a pair of scissors and a needle and thread. Just cut to height and rough stitch the two layers together and they'll work nicely. Make sure, if you wear men's sizing to convert from men's to women's before adding 1-2 sizes.

For the cheap price, they are easily replaceable without hurting the wallet. In May I'll have been approved for a year and mine are still going strong.
