Here is a pic I snaged from Hyperspace before they sadly took down the rare photos feature.

This was from a cut sceen in ROTJ.....

who's chocking him? the royal guard?

Vader, I believe. The guard just zaps him.

Vader goes to see the Emperor. Jerjerrod gets in his path and says no. Vader chokes him. Guards react, threatening Vader. Vader pauses. Jerjerrod gasps out that it's the Emperor's command. Vader lets go and says he'll wait. It was cut because, by then, it didn't add anything to the story and just slowed down the pacing.

I also have one somewhere of a B&W set photo of the setup for this shot, but I can't find it right now.

Vader was paused by the guards? or was it because he said the emperor commanded it? Interesting thought. I know royal guards are the elite of the elite but ?????

In the Crimson Empire comics, Vader once fought a cocky Royal Guard ending up with the Royal Guard brutally beaten in a very short amount of time. Not to mention a scar to the guard's face.

Yeah, in this case Vader paused because if the Guards were threatening him for trying to get in to see the emperor, maybe it was because the Emperor didn't want to be seen just then, and not because the command staff were being twits. He could still have taken them out, but that would have probably irritated his Master.

I cant either. But wish I could see that scene just to see Guards in action would be awesome.
