I'm looking to by my red and burgundy velveteen soon, but I'm wondering how many yards of each color I'll need? I'd like to have plenty so that I get "folds" in the way it hangs, at the bottom on the outer robe. I'm going to do a ROTJ build, I'm 5'9" and average weight. I'm thinking 5 yards of each color? (I'm only making the outer robe, I already have an inner one)

i used nearly 12yards for my outer Aotc robe.

So you mean 6 yards for the red and 6 for the burgundy? (Making 12 total right? Not 12 of each color)

Looking at your picture in your profile avatar, it looks like you're outer robe scarcely uses a few yards itself. There is actually 12 yards of red velvet in that outer robe?
