OK guys I am new to these parts but have been doing a bit of research for the last few weeks. Thought I would share what I am doing so that if its wrong you guys can steer me in the right direction.

I plan on doing the robes with the help of my amateur seamstress Aunt.

Inner robe: for the inner robe I will be using McCall's 2060 pattern. This is the fabric I plan on buying for it- https://www.onlinefabricstore.net/burgu ... abric-.htm. I will be using that fabric for the lining on the outer robe, sash, and gloves.

Outer robe: I will be using the pattern that is on this site for the AOTC outer robe with the 2 slits. Here is the fabric I plan on using - http://www.syfabrics.com/View.aspx/Plus ... et/689/264

I will also be making my own force pike. I am gathering supplies for that.

I am still trying to find boots. It been tough finding something that doesn't break the bank and comes in size 13.

The helmet I am leaning toward a Lukannon armory one because he does such great work and its fully painted and ready to go. He has a run coming soon.

That's where I am at, let me know if anything is not going to work. Thanks :trsuit:

None detailed black boots will be fine for this build.

Hey guys I am running into a bit of a problem here. I am 6'2" tall and am having an issues with the patterns. When I blow them up to my size the width of the patterns is too wide for sources found on the internet. Most commercially available sources have 44-45" or 58-60" width available. Based on these patterns I would need a width of 62-63". Has anyone dealt with this before?

TIA

If you half the Pattern in the triangles and run a seam up that, That will give you the width along with giving you a fold for the robe.

That was going to me my next question. If I half the triangles it will be no problem. I was just worried that the extra seams wouldn't be acceptable, but it seems it will be fine. Thanks

No onto modifying the patterns.

Just do a mock up with broad cloth. We can then look at the build thete to give more follow up.

Sounds good. Thanks for all the help.

I am trying to locate some 60" wide velvet. Would any of these work? If so I can order up some swatches to really check the color.

Any of these swatches will work. Alot of it comes down to your price point on the velvet.

Isn't that the truth. I am going to keep digging, but I will order those swatches to check them out.
