Hello all,

This is likely to be a rather long process for me. I will likely buy parts and pieces over time and put things together at a much slower rate than others; however, I figured I should begin the thread. There is a wealth of information on the forums so I will likely reference other's builds a lot. I plan to go with other's recommendations for boots and gloves directly. I may also purchase fabric suggested on the forums as well, but I will have to check with my local fabric store for their options/pricing when it comes to that. I am trying to decide which is cheaper; buying a machine and making the robes myself, or paying someone else to do so. Finally, the pike seems fairly easy and there are quite thorough guides on the forums. I will go with a wooden (pool cue) one to start. I will update the post as I'm able to acquire different pieces, change my mind about the source of them, or complete a part of the costume. Comment and suggestions more than welcome

Welcome. I built my Force PIke using an $8 pool cue. With some paint & hardware greeblies I was able to create a pretty cool Pike within a week or so. Easy build and the finished product will look great with my finished robes. I used the ideas of 3-4 builds on these forums to construct mine. I think my finished cost for the Force Pike was around $35-$40

I'm pretty much waiting on my helmet to be painted and my wife to finish my robes and I'll be ready for approval. The RotJ Guard will be my 3rd 501st rig.

Always better to take your time on your costume than to rush through it.

There are multiple ways to build a pike. Wooden or aluminium.
Take your time and look through the forum. There are intersting WIPs here.
