My Helmet is ordered, now waiting on that. Just got my fabric swatches, I took pictures with two different backgrounds to show the colors. Are they ok to go with?
Burgundy Gabardine from OnlineFabricStore
Velveteen red from DISTINCTIVE FABRIC INC.
Bought the 48" pool que to start working of the force pike.
Now I need to keep looking for size 14 red boots and at least XL Burgundy gloves.

I attempted a set of robes, but my outer fabric is too dark.

I'm kinda confused right now. I was told earlier that the under robe and the robe lining was velvet, not gabardine for a ROTJ costume. Can someone please clarify this for me.

So would gabardine be acceptable for the under robe?

You can use gaberdine as lining and underrobe as those havr been referenced with rots guards. This also cuts down on heat on our door events in some parts of the world.
