INSTRUCTIONS AND SHOPPING GUIDE FOR THE ROTS (REVENGE OF THE SITH) ROYAL (IMPERIAL) GUARD BUILD:

These are the files I created to document my Revenge of the Sith Royal Guard build.

I found my gloves here:

Kursheuel Women Lady's Fashion Genuine lambskin soft leather driving Gloves 7 colors M9022
AMAZON:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KL6 ... ge_o00_s01

(measure around your flat palm at the widest part to get your glove size. I am glove size 7, which is "medium".)

I found my red suede ankle boots with reasonable heel: Reneeze BEAUTY-03 Women Sneaker Petty Stacked Heel Side Zipper Ankle Booties
AMAZON:

The Rubies Helm, I recommend setting an alert for the rubies helm on camelcamelcamel.com, an amazon price tracker app. It normally goes for $200 lately, I jumped on it at $170

Thanks! Glad to help.
Over time, I'm sure the links to the boots and gloves will expire, as suppliers change at Amazon, but I bet it will be accurate for a little while.

I wanted to help, and there wasn't too much of a build documentation, so as I made mine it wasn't too hard to stop and take photos.

Hope we can all troop together soon.
Rebecca

Using these same instructions, I'm remaking my cloak. I noticed the lining fabric makes the velvet pull at the seams, and I don't like the look. I noticed in photos at our LEGOLAND troop.
The pattern and construction is sound, its the marriage of these fabrics. New Velvet will fix the issue.

See the photo attached. It happened over time, maybe the velvet fabric didnt have enough "body" or drape. Using a new velveteen will help a ton. I'm not happy with the current "drape".

Just stumbled on to this post while browsing around the forums.

Might I suggest this be linked to and stickied in the ROTS forum?

It is one template you can use. But will it guarantee approval? No.

You'll have to make sure that each element in the CRL is represented accurately and with the right proportions/feel. For example, if you have to modify a helmet to make it bigger you'll need to keep the overall shape/proportions of the modified helmet consistent with the movie. The size can be larger/smaller, but the overall proportions should be maintained to give it an accurate look.
