Re: Future Royal Guard from Spain.
Finally, this is the hilt agreed with Theo, to build the pike.
He will start to work on it by the middle of October.

Those are great swatches to be used for the robes and underrobe.

Welcome!
Boots look perfect.
I think I recognise that kind of pike and is great!
Velvet colour and sarga are good too.
Everything is cool so you can start your costume!

Re: Future Royal Guard from Spain.
Good evening.
This post is to keep you updated about my costume.
The pike is already at home.
Theo did an amazing work, so I have two different versions of the pike, with two different rings, the original one, in aluminium, and the second one, a mokume ring. It takes only 30 seconds to change the rings.
Talking about the helmet, Stevie told me this week that it´s made. It should be painted along the weekend, and we'll have to wait for the paint to be fully harden.
Now, let's talk about the costume.
Last friday, I was with the dressmaker, for the first test.
Here, you can see a video, with the outer placed over the mannequin (please, click on the image).
Inner and sash were done, basted.
Here there are the inner pictures:
As I was discussing with Mortty and Iromano, there are several changes to be done.
Pleats over the shoulder will not be in the final design, in order to achieve CRL specifications.
Sash will be made again, to have only one fold, in the middle, instead of three pleats, as in the picture.
Total length will be adjusted, just at the end.
This friday, everything should be amended. In this case, inner will be sewn, and total length adjusted.
Outer is not really mine:
This is Javi's outer.
Mine will be, at least, 1 inch wide smaller. This way, creases over the chest and shoulders, will disappear.
Moreover, round piece over the shoulder, has been redesigned this way.
An this is all, at least up to this friday...
Thank you very much, Mortty & Iromano for your support in this process.

Re: Future Royal Guard from Spain.
Good evening.
Let me share with you the update in the process to get my royal costume.
Helmet is already in Spain. As I can see in the tracking information, It will be delivered along Tuesday-Wednesday.
Last Friday, I was again with the taylor.
Inner is already sewn, and pleats over the shoulder have gone.
Only total length has to be adjusted again, as it is short to accomplish CRL specifications.
So, next week it will be finished.
Talking about sash, it will be made again, as design is correct, but measures are not the right ones. Sash will be wider, and central pleat will be narrower.
These are the pictures:
Outer is already the mine one.
Total length seems to be right
The stitching on the shoulders should be adjusted and completed to be invisible.
This Friday, I'll have new pictures, to update the information about this project.
Regards.
